Hassans advises Balaena Group, the owner of Gibdock, on acquisition of APCL Group.

Hassans is pleased to have advised Balaena Group a Gibraltar based group (owners of Gibdock) on the acquisition of British marine engineering company APCL Group, which operates three ship repair yards in the UK. Our team was led by Partners Isaac Levy and Gian Massetti, with assistance from Senior Associate Thomas Blagden.

Isaac Levy, Team Leader commented: “We are delighted to have advised Balaena on this strategically important acquisition. The addition of a UK shipyard network to Gibdock's existing operations represents a significant step forward in the group's ambitions to become a leading force in global ship repair and maintenance. It was a pleasure to work with the Balaena team on a deal of this complexity and scale. The transaction is a landmark development in the maritime services sector, consolidating Balaena's position as a major player in the European shipyard market.”
