Hassans awarded Offshore Law Firm of the Year at the Captive Services Awards 2016

We are delighted to announce that Hassans was presented with Offshore Law Firm of the Year 2016 at the Captive Services Awards dinner held in London on Thursday 11th February. Hassans’ Partner Nigel Feetham received the award on behalf of the firm.

Hassans was shortlisted for this award together with Appleby, Carey Olsen and Mourant Ozannes. The award recognises contributions to the captive market through legal expertise and innovation, strategic vision, business winning client care and participation in discussions with regulators to support (or resist) regulatory developments.

Each award is judged by a separate panel of experts carefully selected for their wealth of experience and expertise.

Commenting on the award, James Levy CBE QC said:

“Nigel works tirelessly in promoting and developing this sector (especially his work with Protected Cell Companies) both in Gibraltar and internationally. This hard work and pursuit of excellence has been fully recognised through winning this prestigious award. This formal recognition also comes hot on the heels of Hassans winning Law Firm of the Year – Mediterranean at the CityWealth IFC Awards in January, making this a very good start to 2016 for the firm.”

Nigel added:

“I am delighted to have received this award on behalf of the firm. Over the last 12 months we have been out meeting existing and prospective clients in all the major insurance centres around the world including Bermuda, Paris and London. A particular strength is our market leading position in the use of innovative structures for Protected Cell Companies. Years of hard work have also given us a deep understanding of the markets our clients operate in and have helped us become a centre of knowledge development.”
