Hassans and Line Group raise £2500 for GBC Open Day.

Yesterday we held our second Spinathon and Festive Fayre raising £2154.52, surpassing last year’s fundraising, in aid of Gibraltar’s GBC Open Day. Hassans’ Partners have kindly rounded the funds raised up to a neat £2500.

GBC Open Day is an annual event held in Gibraltar in December with businesses, organisations, schools, youth groups etc organising different events to raise money which is then shared amongst local charities.

Spearheaded by Matthew Torres, Hassans & Line Group kicked off an 8-hour long Spinathon with 18 employees taking part. They collectively cycled c 480kms over the course of day (give or take a few milometer malfunctions!)

The spinners were supported by school choirs from Governors Meadow, St Paul’s, St Mary's and Bishop Fitzgerald, as well as performers from MAGS - local DJ Nathan Pereira (Nate), our own Liana Vassallo and Laura Seed, along with her sister Anna Felices and Leeroy Woodjetts. Renditions Duo Jes Scruton White and Felicity Sardina closed the afternoon’s entertainment. We’re very grateful to you all for your lively and talented sets!

An impressive array of bakes and cakes were also on sale along with raffle tickets, the proceeds all of which contributed to the total raised. Winner can be seen in the vid 👏.

Thank you to all who baked, span, supported and bought, we look forward to presenting our cheque on GBC Open Day on Thursday night.
