Joelle joined Hassans in 2021 and is an Associate in the Property team.
Joelle is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn and was admitted to the Bar of England & Wales in 2018 and the Gibraltar Bar in 2021. She studied a degree in Law with Spanish at the University of Bangor, Wales obtaining a First Class Honours and went on to study a Masters in International Commercial and Business Law in which she achieved a Distinction and was awarded the Best LLM International Law Student Award for obtaining the highest mark in the cohort. She wrote her Masters dissertation in the area of Employment Law titled ‘The status of the implied term of mutual trust and confidence in light of Commonwealth Commercial Bank of Australia v Barker’.
Joelle went on to complete the Bar Professional Training Course at BPP Law School, London achieving a mark of Very Competent and later obtained the Professional Certificate of Competence in Gibraltar Law from the University of Gibraltar where she received an Outstanding for her oral exam on an Employment Law scenario. She then completed her Professional Skills Course shortly after.
Prior to joining Hassans, Joelle worked as an Associate across various areas of practice such as Property, Employment, Private Client and Family at a local law firm.
