David joined Hassans in 2015 after 35 years’ experience working on international corporate and finance transactions from London, Houston and Paris, advising corporates, banks and international lending agencies such as the World Bank.
In addition to his corporate, commercial and finance practice, David is an expert on the development and financing of international projects in the Transportation, Infrastructure, Power Generation and Oil & Gas sectors.
- David is an immensely experienced lawyer practising in the areas of Corporate, Commercial and Financial transactions.
- He is experienced in M&A, Joint Ventures, Project Development, Project Finance and Corporate Finance.
- He has advised on numerous landmark projects spanning Transportation, Infrastructure, Power Generation and Oil & Gas sectors.
- He has led on major projects including the Channel Tunnel (UK-France), Hub Power Project (Pakistan), Chad-Cameroon Oil Pipeline and Kashagan Oil Field Development and Oil Export Project (Kazakhstan).
David graduated in Law from Cambridge University (Clare College) and studied at the College of Law (Lancaster Gate, London) for his Final Professional Examinations.
He subsequently spent the larger part of his career at Linklaters becoming a Partner in the Commercial Department in 1984 and subsequently a co-founder of the Firm’s Projects & Energy Group.
Before joining Hassan’s, David was Legal Counsel to a consortium of major international oil companies developing a major oil & gas project in Central Asia based in Paris.
