Charles joined Hassans in January 2014 and is an Associate in the Litigation Department. He is a latecomer to law having served in the Royal Gibraltar Regiment for 8 years.
After graduating from the University of Kent in English and Spanish Law Charles went directly to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He completed the Bar Professional Training Course in 2011 where he achieved an Outstanding and was awarded the Oxford University Press Law Prize for Best Performance in Civil Practice.
Charles has gained experience in a wide range of areas in the general criminal and civil fields. In his short time in practice he has already appeared as junior to local and London Queen’s Counsel before the Court of Appeal and the Privy Council.
Charles was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2011 and the Gibraltar Bar in 2014. He is a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and Secretary of the Inner Temple Association of Gibraltar. He is also the President of the Gibraltar Hockey Association and continues to serve as a Captain in the Royal Gibraltar Regiment Reserves.
