The Gibraltar Insurance Association (GIA) was originally formed in 1997, and now has a membership of 60+ insurance companies, re-insurance companies, insurance company managers and intermediaries and other professionals in the Gibraltar insurance industry. The GIA has been instrumental in the success of the insurance sector in Gibraltar and continues to play a vital role. As a forum for discussion and communication between members, authorities in Gibraltar and beyond, the GIA’s key role is the promotion of Gibraltar as an insurance domicile, and it engages with the Gibraltar regulator, government and other bodies in the sector’s best interest.
