The Gibraltar Funds and Investments Association (GFIA) was formed in 1996 as the Gibraltar Association of Stockbrokers and Investment Managers (GASIM), renaming itself in 2009. Members today include stockbrokers, law firms, banks, audit firms, investment managers, fund managers and administrators along with financial sector professionals. All members are regulated and licenced under the Financial Services Commission (FSC) in Gibraltar. GIFA is a non-profit organisation, working closely with regulatory bodies so it can provide its members with up-to-date news and information about legislation affecting the financial sector.
