Hassans International Law Firm is delighted to announce six partner promotions. The promotions bring the total number of partners at Hassans to 40. The new partners are:
Joseph Abudarham; Joseph completed the LPC at the Manchester School of Law in 2006 and was enrolled as a Solicitor in England & Wales in 2008 whereupon he joined the Tax and Overseas Property Team at Hassans. Joseph qualified as a member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners in 2012. Joseph regularly advises international clients in the property sector and provides tax advice on high-value structured real estate and financing transactions. He specialises in corporate and personal tax matters which include cross-border tax planning and the set up of efficient offshore structures.
Nigel Acris; Nigel completed his LLB honours degree through the Open University whilst in fulltime employment as a Customs Officer. He completed the Bar Vocational Course in 2007 at the Inns of Court School of Law and obtained a Masters of Laws from City University in 2009. Nigel specialises in tax, corporate and commercial matters, both for private clients and corporates, and has considerable experience advising in business start-ups, aircraft and asset acquisitions, international trade as well as on cross-border transactions.
Ian Farrell; Ian achieved an LLB honours degree from The University of Kent at Canterbury following a year reading European Law at The University of Copenhagen. Ian specialises in all areas of property law, with particular expertise in the field of landlord and tenant, as well as representing various banks and financiers in connection with property security. More recently, Ian has acted for the developers of the new Mid Town site.
Grahame Jackson; Graham graduated from Keele University in English & Philosophy. Grahame ran his family’s printing business for nine years before moving to Gibraltar and joined Hassans’ company management arm, Line Group, in 2002 as a Company Administrator. Grahame moved to Hassans in 2004 where he trained to be a solicitor, at College of Law and Northumbria University. He specialises in in tax and company law dealing with multi national property groups.
Isaac Levy; Isaac read law and completed the Bar Professional Training Course at BPP Law School. Prior to undertaking his legal studies, Isaac headed a Research Institute in Talmudic Law in Jerusalem. Isaac specialises in advising on cross-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions, as well as transactions involving global finance institutions. He has considerable experience in commercial law practice including advising on large property development transactions and related financing. Isaac also provides tax advice on local and international matters, advises HNWIs and their family offices in relation to trust and corporate structuring and related succession planning, and has contributed to the drafting of tax legislation.
Michele Walsh; Michele graduated from Leeds University (BA honours in French and Italian), before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law with Distinction in 2004 and the Legal Practice Course with Distinction in 2005 at the College of Law, York. Michele undertakes a wide range of litigation including shipping and commercial litigation and has experience in high-value complex cases involving multi-jurisdictional proceedings and civil fraud disputes. Michele also regularly advises on contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
