James is an Associate in Hassans’ Corporate and Commercial Department.
Since joining the firm in 2015, James has obtained extensive experience on a variety of corporate and commercial matters. Primarily advising large US and European multi-nationals, James has worked closely with Michael Castiel and Tim Garcia on a variety of international and transactional matters, including but not limited to corporate restructurings, equity and debt financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and insolvency work. James also advises local small businesses on landlord and tenant related matters.
A University of Surrey graduate, James proceeded to complete a specialist Corporate Law Master’s Degree at University College London (Distinction). Prior to completing the Bar Professional Training Course, James spent a year working at the New York City Council as a legislative and policy analyst. James is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, and was Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2014, and subsequently in Gibraltar in 2015.
