Since joining the firm in 2016, Roy’s practice has primarily consisted of general corporate work and advising initial coin offerings/token sales and Distributed Ledger Technology (“DLT”) related projects as part of the firm’s emerging FinTech team. Roy has worked closely with Partner Anthony Provasoli on a number of international token sales conducted by FinTech start-ups and DLT licence applications under Gibraltar’s ground-breaking DLT framework. Roy also advises local small businesses on licensing matters.
A University of Salford graduate, Roy proceeded to complete a specialist International Business Law Master’s Degree at the University of Leeds. Roy then completed the Bar Professional Training Course at The City Law School London. Roy is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, and was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 2016.
